Based in Aurora, CO, Odyssey continues to expand its warehouse operations. We’re hiring a Warehouse Lead to oversee floor activity, support our forklift team, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.


Location:

This position is based on-site in Aurora, CO.


Schedule:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring an average of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.


Salary Range:

$63,000 – $66,000 annually, commensurate with experience.



About the Job:

The Warehouse Lead plays a key role in maintaining the flow of daily warehouse operations by supporting forklift drivers, overseeing order staging and inventory integrity, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This position acts as a team lead and supports warehouse operations when the Warehouse Supervisor is not present.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Monitor and maintain daily product flow and warehouse floor activity.
  • Communicate job expectations and assign tasks to forklift drivers.
  • Supervise and monitor operator performance, providing coaching and training as needed.
  • Load and unload vehicles using a forklift and/or paper clamp.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ensure integrity of product movement.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
  • Resolve workflow or service issues promptly.
  • Evaluate and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Oversee operations during the Warehouse Supervisor’s absence.
  • Coordinate order picking, staging, and trailer loading assignments.
  • Sign out trailers after verifying accuracy of loads and submit paperwork to the office.
  • Receive inbound loads with forklift drivers and record in/out times on company iPads.
  • Monitor product flow, documentation, and electronic records to ensure timely processing.
  • Track daily cycle counts and correct inventory discrepancies.
  • Complete and maintain a daily building checklist; assign and follow up on housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor whiteboards, Google Docs, and communication systems to track and report order movement.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Forklift Certification required.
  • Previous experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred.
  • Experience with bar code scanning and digital inventory tracking.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Must be able to use iPads and basic software tools (Google Docs, email, scanning systems).
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to a 5-panel drug test (including marijuana).

Work Environment:

This position operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, and noise. Employees may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes, vibration, or airborne particles.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision and depth perception.
