Location:

This is a remote role based in Chicago, IL, USA.


Schedule:

Full-time, remote schedule with flexibility to meet client needs and occasional visits for networking and collaboration.



Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary of $61,000 – $97,500
  • Uncapped commission structure offering substantial earnings potential
  • Flexible, remote work with occasional travel to Odyssey facilities for collaboration
  • Minimal travel requirements

About the Job:

The Sales Executive will play a pivotal role in developing new business while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships. This high-impact, client-facing position is ideal for a driven sales professional looking to manage a book of business with substantial earnings potential and autonomy.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Drive sales growth by selling Odyssey’s full suite of logistics services, including ocean freight (FTL and LTL), drayage, warehousing, distribution, and brokerage.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, identifying opportunities to upsell and expand service lines.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities and engage with decision-makers to grow territory revenue.
  • Develop account strategies and partner with stakeholders to ensure revenue goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a consultative sales approach to support long-term client success.

Required:

  • 3–5+ years of demonstrated sales success within transportation, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Strong sales and communication skills, including experience in consultative selling.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with autonomy.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members across departments to achieve client satisfaction and company goals.

Must-Have:

  • Experience presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and nurturing long-term business relationships.
  • Ability to manage a book of business independently while meeting growth targets.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to thrive in a flexible remote environment.

Preferred:

  • 5–10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding sales.
  • CRM proficiency, especially with Salesforce or similar systems.
  • Experience working with high-touch client industries.
