Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual standard cost roll, ensuring accuracy of BOMs, routings, and overhead allocations
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, including PPV, scrap, labor, overhead absorption, and rework
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting for COGS, production costs, and capital expenditures
- Conduct cost modeling to evaluate pricing, capital investments, product changes, and make-versus-buy decisions
- Develop product and customer profitability analyses to support strategic planning
- Oversee standard cost development for new and existing products
- Serve as a financial partner to manufacturing leadership, delivering insights to drive productivity and cost efficiencies
- Lead initiatives focused on cost savings, automation, inventory optimization, and process standardization
- Support ERP enhancements and digital reporting tools to improve financial visibility and decision-making
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement through implementation of lean accounting practices
- Provide accurate cost data to support pricing, quoting, and proposal development
- Partner with Operations on production planning and cost impact analysis
- Deliver financial support for new product launches and capital projects
- Ensure adherence to accounting regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Maintain strong documentation, processes, and systems to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment in a public company
- 1–3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing finance processes
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally across operations and corporate teams
