Carrier Sales Representative
Responsibilities:
- Source and negotiate rates with carriers via phone, email, or TMS.
- Book loads and confirm all shipment details such as pick-up, delivery, rate confirmation, etc.
- Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Resolve issues—delays, breakdowns, missed appointments, or unhappy customers.
- Build a carrier network and develop repeat relationships with reliable trucking partners.
- Analyze margins and pricing to hit daily/weekly profitability goals.
- Collaborate with customer sales reps to align carrier availability with customer demand.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with carriers, negotiating rates, and relationship building within the Transportation industry.
- Experience using a TMS, Load Boards, etc.
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
