Carrier Sales Representative


Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate rates with carriers via phone, email, or TMS.
  • Book loads and confirm all shipment details such as pick-up, delivery, rate confirmation, etc.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Resolve issues—delays, breakdowns, missed appointments, or unhappy customers.
  • Build a carrier network and develop repeat relationships with reliable trucking partners.
  • Analyze margins and pricing to hit daily/weekly profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with customer sales reps to align carrier availability with customer demand.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working directly with carriers, negotiating rates, and relationship building within the Transportation industry.
  • Experience using a TMS, Load Boards, etc.
  • Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
