Sourcing Agent
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to achieve competitive advantages in cost, quality, technology, and supply continuity.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and conditions to minimize risk and deliver value.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, extensions, and product updates.
- Ensure sourcing strategies and supply chain processes comply with all applicable policies, regulations, and standards.
- Review and analyze sourcing data, market trends, and benchmarking information to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Risk, Legal, and Implementation teams to support business objectives.
- Provide regular updates on category strategies, supplier relationships, and key performance indicators.
- Represent the organization professionally in interactions with current and potential suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills, ideally with experience in managing IT supplier relationships.
- Basic understanding of implementation, integration, and IT security requirements as they relate to contracting processes.
- Experience supporting IT functions or technology-focused sourcing initiatives preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or group purchasing environment is a plus.
- Ability to apply critical thinking, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to adapt quickly and maintain a sense of urgency.
