Director of Accounting

Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 accounting professionals, including up to four direct reports.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reporting for senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Lead the accounting integration of acquired organizations, including processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Oversee treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and the revenue cycle.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Drive accounting process improvements, technology initiatives, and implementation of accounting best practices.
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and established accounting policies.
  • Support strategic financial initiatives and organizational growth through effective accounting leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on financial and operational matters.
  • Provide leadership and change management throughout accounting processes, systems, and organizational initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Public accounting and/or professional services experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, treasury operations, cash flow management, and internal controls.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and accounting technology.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
