About the Role

This is a hands-on backend engineering role where you’ll design and build core systems that power the platform. You’ll work on new features, influence architecture decisions, and collaborate closely with a team that values clean code and thoughtful engineering.

This is not a maintenance-heavy role — you’ll be actively building, improving, and shaping the product.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js
• Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines using PostgreSQL
• Apply strong object-oriented design principles to create clean, maintainable systems
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality
• Collaborate with engineers on feature development, system design, and performance optimization
• Take ownership of projects from initial design through production deployment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Experience designing scalable systems and writing maintainable, well-structured code
• Comfortable participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS services, serverless architecture, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
• Background in application security or DevSecOps
• Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
