About the Role

We are looking for an SDET who approaches test automation as true software engineering. This role is highly technical and hands-on, focused on building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring product reliability through code—not manual processes.

You will work closely with engineers, contributing directly to the codebase while designing and maintaining the systems that validate product quality at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build automated testing frameworks for API, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Write clean, maintainable test code using TypeScript within a Node.js environment
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated testing pipelines to prevent regressions
• Create test data strategies, fixtures, and validation processes
• Write PostgreSQL queries to validate system behavior and data integrity
• Build internal tools and utilities to improve testing efficiency across the team
• Use AI-assisted development tools to enhance test coverage and streamline workflows
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure testability is built into features early
• Own test reliability by diagnosing flaky tests and improving stability and performance

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in SDET or software engineering roles with a strong focus on automation
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with the ability to read and write production-level code
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones
• Solid understanding of API testing, database validation, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Git-based workflows, code reviews, and collaborative development practices
• Ability to write meaningful SQL queries for validation and test design
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Nice to Have

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar end-to-end testing frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS services, serverless architecture, or Kubernetes
• Background in application security or DevSecOps environments
• Experience with performance or load testing
• Startup or high-growth environment experience
