Job Brief:

Our client seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist to develop and manage international trade compliance content. This role supports tools that help businesses manage import/export requirements across eCommerce, B2B, and marketplace shipments. You’ll research and create compliance content, manage trade restrictions rules, and collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure adherence to global trade regulations. This position is key to enabling international trade for top global logistics, manufacturing, and eCommerce companies.

Responsibilities:

Trade Compliance Content Development:

  • Research and analyze import/export regulations, focusing on Canadian, EU, APAC, and U.S. trade laws.
  • Summarize compliance requirements, provide expert-level guidance, and update manuals/policies.
  • Ensure adherence to hazmat, carrier, and international trade regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and maintain up-to-date compliance content.

Strategic Content Management:

  • Design and execute compliance content strategies for trade restrictions products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver automated and streamlined content solutions.
  • Prioritize content development aligned with business and technical goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process automation.

Requirements:

  • 4–5 years of experience in trade compliance, with expertise in Canadian export controls and APAC/EU/US regulations.
  • Strong research and technical writing skills; BA/BS in business, law, international studies, or logistics.
  • Proven experience managing trade compliance programs or related roles in logistics, tax, or trade compliance.
  • Customs Broker license preferred.
  • Specialist experience in areas such as product safety, export licensing, or import/export classification.
  • Advanced analytical skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Pragmatic problem solver capable of delivering iterative value in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
