Residential Superintendent – Luxury Custom Homes (Phoenix Area)

Our client, a premier luxury custom home builder in the Phoenix metropolitan area, is growing and seeking a highly experienced Residential Superintendent to oversee high-end residential projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about delivering custom estates of exceptional quality.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including weekly three-week lookahead timelines.
- Read, interpret, and communicate construction documents such as blueprints, specs, contracts, submittals, change orders, and RFIs.
- Ensure all subcontractors are scheduled appropriately and performing at the highest level.
- Oversee the sequencing and coordination of trades, forecasting project needs proactively.
- Enforce exceptional quality standards—ensuring work is level, plumb, square, and compliant with best practices.
- Maintain knowledge of local building codes and schedule inspections as required.
- Foster and uphold safety protocols and jobsite cleanliness, including dust control and SWPPP compliance.
- Maintain daily field reports noting trade activity, deliveries, weather, and jobsite visitors.
- Manage materials, deliveries, and on-site logistics to stay on schedule.
- Assist with invoice reviews and billing cycles, validating work completed during pay periods.
- Stay current on project updates including revisions, RFIs, and changes in scope.
- Collaborate with Project Manager on walkthroughs with clients and design teams.
- Assist with permitting and interactions with local municipalities.
- Lead and mentor internal labor teams and support their development.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Superintendent overseeing custom residential projects exceeding $5M.
- Strong working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and sequencing.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of construction best practices and local building codes.
- Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- A construction management degree is preferred but not required if experience is substantial.
