Our San Diego office is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team in a hybrid role that promotes both professional excellence and work-life balance.


Responsibilities

  • Represent employers in employment litigation in California state and federal courts, including matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage & hour class and PAGA actions.
  • Draft and argue motions, prepare responsive pleadings, conduct depositions, and appear at hearings and mediations.
  • Handle administrative matters before the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, DLSE, and related agencies.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and advise employers on compliance with California labor laws.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and training materials.
  • Provide strategic counseling and proactive guidance to clients to minimize legal risk.
  • Maintain a 1850-hour annual billable target while delivering consistently high-quality work.


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California Bar (required).
  • 3–10 years of experience in labor & employment law, including litigation and counseling.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and wage & hour regulations.
  • Experience with class actions or PAGA matters is a plus, but not required.
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong client-service mindset with excellent communication skills.
