Our San Diego office is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join our team in a hybrid role that promotes both professional excellence and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment litigation in California state and federal courts, including matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage & hour class and PAGA actions.
- Draft and argue motions, prepare responsive pleadings, conduct depositions, and appear at hearings and mediations.
- Handle administrative matters before the EEOC, DFEH/CRD, DLSE, and related agencies.
- Conduct workplace investigations and advise employers on compliance with California labor laws.
- Draft and review employment agreements, handbooks, policies, and training materials.
- Provide strategic counseling and proactive guidance to clients to minimize legal risk.
- Maintain a 1850-hour annual billable target while delivering consistently high-quality work.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California Bar (required).

3–10 years of experience in labor & employment law, including litigation and counseling.
- Strong working knowledge of California employment laws and wage & hour regulations.
- Experience with class actions or PAGA matters is a plus, but not required.
- Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong client-service mindset with excellent communication skills.
