PCB Designer – High‑Speed / Complex Digital & Mixed‑Signal (Fully Remote)
About the Role
This is a great fit for PCB Designers who enjoy tackling challenging layouts, collaborating with strong engineers, and working across a wide range of industries and board technologies. You’ll join an engineering‑driven design services group that supports advanced programs in aerospace, medical, defense, communications, and emerging tech.
If you like variety, autonomy, and solving real layout problems — not sitting in meetings or getting pulled into non‑design work — this environment is built around technical execution and clean engineering processes.
What You’ll Work On
You’ll take ownership of complex PCB layout tasks, including:
High‑Speed Digital
- DDRx, PCIe, SERDES, LVDS, MIPI, and multi‑gigabit interfaces
- Constraint‑driven routing, length tuning, and impedance‑controlled structures
- Tight timing, SI‑aware routing, and multi‑layer stackup collaboration
Mixed‑Signal & RF
- Sensitive analog routing, isolation strategies, and noise‑aware placement
- RF path layout, controlled impedance geometries, and stackup refinement
Power & Thermal
- High‑current routing, PDN optimization, and thermal relief strategies
- Collaboration with ME/EE teams on copper balancing and heat‑spreading
Manufacturability & Quality
- DFM/DFT best practices integrated into every design
- Clean documentation packages, fab notes, and release‑ready deliverables
- Working with engineers who value precision, clarity, and predictable execution
Why This Role Stands Out
-
Hands‑on layout focus — no bait‑and‑switch into project management
-
Remote‑first — work from anywhere in the US
-
High variety — multiple industries, multiple board types, constant technical engagement
-
Engineering‑centric culture — decisions driven by technical merit, not politics
-
Stable, process‑mature environment with strong customer relationships
This is a place for designers who want to stay close to the work, solve interesting problems, and be evaluated on the quality of their layouts.
What You Bring
- Strong proficiency in Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
- Experience with high‑speed, dense, or complex PCB designs
- Solid understanding of stackups, impedance control, routing rules, and SI/PI fundamentals
- Ability to collaborate directly with electrical and mechanical engineers
- Comfortable managing multiple active projects in a remote environment
- US work authorization
