Head of Growth / Marketing Leader

Confidential SaaS Company | Hybrid (Midwest HQ)

$120K–$180K OTE

About the Company

They are a profitable, privately held SaaS platform in the recurring revenue and subscription management space, serving customers nationwide for over a decade. The business has strong retention, proven product-market fit, and available sales capacity.

What’s missing is a disciplined, data-driven growth engine to consistently attract the right customers and scale acquisition.

The Opportunity

This is the first dedicated growth hire and the most important role in the company today.

You will report directly to the CEO and own the full marketing function — strategy, execution, experimentation, and results. You’ll define positioning, identify the best acquisition channels, and build a repeatable engine that produces qualified demos at efficient economics.

This is a true “build the function” role, not a maintenance marketing job.

What You’ll Do

1. Define Market Position & ICP (Months 1-6)

• Analyze customer base and retention patterns

• Identify underserved segments where the company wins

• Develop clear positioning and messaging

• Align sales and marketing around a focused target market

2. Build a Repeatable Acquisition Engine (Months 3-12)

• Identify highest-leverage channel(s) through testing

• Launch and optimize a measurable funnel

• Scale what works, kill what doesn’t

• Hit targets for qualified demos and CAC efficiency

Success Metrics

• 15+ qualified demos per month

• <$1,000 cost per demo attended

• CAC payback within ~6 months

• Clear, repeatable growth motion established

Why This Role Stands Out

• Direct CEO partnership and executive visibility

• Profitable business with proven product

• Real budget flexibility tied to performance

• Autonomy to design and run the entire growth strategy

Ideal Background

• Built or owned a B2B SaaS growth engine from early stage or inflection point

• Strong positioning + messaging capability

• Comfortable executing hands-on (not just managing agencies)

• Data-driven operator who tests, learns, and iterates quickly
