Our client is a full-service national law firm with a growing Los Angeles office and a sophisticated professional liability practice. The firm is seeking a Partner to lead and expand its Legal Malpractice and Accountants Malpractice defense group.

The Opportunity

This is a leadership role for a motivated attorney with a strong background in professional liability defense. You will shape the strategic direction of an established practice, handle high-level matters, and mentor the next generation of attorneys. Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and oversee the Legal Malpractice, Accountants Malpractice, and Professional Liability practice
• Manage complex defense matters through all phases of litigation
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients
• Mentor and supervise associates and business professionals
• Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives
• Partner with firm leadership and other practice groups on strategic growth



Qualifications

• Admitted to the California State Bar
• 10+ years of legal malpractice and accountants malpractice defense experience
• Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills
• Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred
• Experience representing accounting professionals in state and federal courts, before professional organization committees, and in regulatory proceedings
• Solid understanding of accounting and auditing documents and financial statements
