A nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm is seeking a REMOTE Senior Auditor to join its growing nonprofit practice. Role Overview

The Audit Senior will play a key role in delivering audit and accounting services to nonprofit clients. This position involves leading engagement areas, mentoring junior staff, and working closely with clients to ensure high-quality financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audit and review procedures for nonprofit organizations
• Develop an understanding of client operations, funding structures, and compliance requirements
• Assess risk and evaluate internal control environments
• Execute analytical procedures, substantive testing, and tests of controls
• Identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Prepare and review financial statements and related deliverables
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff auditors
• Participate in all phases of engagements, from planning through issuance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of public accounting experience, with exposure to nonprofit clients preferred
• CPA license or actively pursuing certification
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed
• MUST BE Based in California
