State & Local Tax (SALT) Manager / Senior Manager

Hybrid | Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 + Annual Bonus + Excellent Benefits

What You'll Do

• Lead complex State & Local Tax (SALT) engagements for a diverse client base
• Advise clients on multistate income tax, sales & use tax, nexus, and tax planning strategies
• Represent clients during state tax audits and negotiations
• Perform tax research and develop practical solutions for complex SALT issues
• Review individual, partnership, corporate, and pass-through tax returns
• Participate in due diligence and transaction planning engagements
• Build trusted advisor relationships with clients
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior tax professionals
• Support business development efforts and identify opportunities to expand client relationships
• Collaborate with specialists across multiple service lines to deliver comprehensive client solutions

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Active CPA license required
• MST preferred
• Strong expertise in:
• State & Local Tax (SALT)
• Multistate income tax
• Sales & Use Tax
• Nexus studies
• State tax research
• Audit defense and tax controversy
• Experience reviewing individual, partnership, S-Corp, and corporate tax returns
• Proven experience managing client relationships and leading engagements
• Previous experience mentoring and developing tax staff
• Strong communication and business development skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping clients succeed
