About the Opportunity
Prevail Recruiting is representing a well-established, 50+ year-old industrial manufacturing company known for its stability, strong customer relationships, and long-tenured workforce.
Operating in a process-driven metal plating environment, this organization is continuing to invest in its operations and is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to support production uptime and equipment reliability.
The Role
This is a hands-on maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems.
You’ll play a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly during second shift, responding to issues in real-time while also supporting preventative maintenance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of production equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
- Execute preventative maintenance on machines, systems, and facility equipment
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs during production
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Diagnose issues, replace parts, test systems, and make adjustments
- Perform basic machining, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment
- Identify and report equipment issues or abnormal conditions
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE, and housekeeping protocols
What We’re Looking For
- 1–5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Basic understanding of plating or chemical environments is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Confined space training
- HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain)
