Risk Advisory Principal / Senior Manager
Compensation: $160,000 – $240,000+, depending on experience
A growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented Risk Advisory Principal / Senior Manager to help lead and expand its Risk Advisory practice.
This is a leadership opportunity for a strategic professional with a strong blend of IT risk advisory, internal audit, SOX, ITGCs, client relationship management, and business development experience. The ideal candidate brings executive presence, technical depth, and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, Audit Committees, and Boards of Directors.
This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys building relationships, growing client engagements, mentoring teams, and helping shape the direction of a practice.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage complex IT risk advisory and internal audit engagements for middle-market and large clients
- Advise clients on IT governance, IT general controls, cybersecurity risk, SOX compliance, and process improvement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, Audit Committees, and Boards of Directors
- Oversee outsourced and co-sourced internal audit and risk advisory engagements
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to support continued practice growth
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships through exceptional service and strategic insight
- Collaborate across service lines to deliver integrated, value-added client solutions
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members while promoting a collaborative team culture
- Contribute thought leadership and new ideas that enhance client outcomes and firm capabilities
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in risk advisory, IT audit, internal audit, public accounting, consulting, or industry
- Strong experience with IT risk, ITGCs, SOX compliance, internal controls, risk assessments, and internal audit methodologies
- Business development mindset with the ability to grow client relationships and expand practice opportunities
- Experience working with large, complex organizations
- Big 4 or national consulting/public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience serving public companies and knowledge of SEC/PCAOB requirements preferred
- Strong executive communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage engagements, and mentor professionals
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Systems, MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
- CPA preferred; CIA, CISA, or other relevant certifications are a plus
