What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding as needed.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Make offsets and minor program adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with programmers, engineers, and quality personnel to ensure customer specifications are met.
Qualifications
- Ideally 1-3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances.
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls.
- Knowledge of G-code and basic program editing.
- Familiarity with GD&T and lean manufacturing principles.
- Prototype, short-run, or production machining experience.
