About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a portfolio of mid-market to larger commercial clients. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day service needs, leading the renewal process, and ensuring policies and documentation are accurate and delivered on time. You’ll work closely with Producers/Account Executives, carriers, and internal partners to provide a smooth, high-touch client experience.

What You’ll Do
- Manage service and support for a book of mid-to-large market commercial accounts, including ongoing client requests and policy maintenance.
- Coordinate renewals from start to finish gathering underwriting information, preparing submissions, reviewing quotes, and supporting proposal delivery.
- Process endorsements, policy changes, cancellations, reinstatements, audits, and other account transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, evidence of property, and related documents within expected turnaround times.
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues with carriers or internal teams.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding coverage questions, required documents, timelines, and renewal strategy.
- Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and assist with marketing accounts when needed.
- Partner with Producers/Account Executives to support account strategy, retention, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Keep detailed documentation and activity notes in Applied Epic (preferred) or a similar Agency Management System (AMS).
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management (or similar client service role).
- Experience supporting mid-market and larger commercial clients, including more complex coverages and multi-line accounts.
- Strong understanding of commercial lines products such as:
- Commercial Property
- General Liability
- Commercial Auto
- Umbrella/Excess
- Workers’ Compensation
- Construction-related coverages (preferred)
- Professional/Management Liability (nice to have)
- Experience working in Applied Epic (preferred) or another AMS such as AMS360, Vertafore, HawkSoft, or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, service-first approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience with complex renewals, large schedules, layered programs, or specialty markets
- Familiarity with industries such as [construction, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, real estate]
- Insurance designations such as CIC, CRM, CPCU (or actively pursuing)
- Strong working knowledge of policy forms, endorsements, and coverage analysis
