Tax Manager

Location: Remote

Compensation: $120,000 – $138,000, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time


A Washington, DC-based international tax and accounting practice is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to support its growing client service needs. This is a strong opportunity for a public accounting professional with experience reviewing complex tax returns for private clients, partnerships, real estate, private equity, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held businesses.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical review, client relationships, advisory work, and supporting sophisticated client needs in a fully remote environment.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage client relationships and expectations
  • Review complex individual, partnership, corporate, and S-Corp tax returns
  • Review 1065 partnership returns, including private equity and real estate partnerships
  • Review 1040 extensions and returns, including tax projections and estimated tax payments
  • Review 1120 and 1120-S returns, including PTET and estimated tax payment support
  • Support high-net-worth individual, private client, and closely held business tax matters
  • Assist with international tax-related client needs and compliance exposure
  • Provide technical guidance to staff and support all levels of client work
  • Communicate directly with clients and internal team members to ensure timely, accurate delivery
  • Identify planning opportunities and help clients navigate complex tax matters


What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of public accounting experience
  • 5+ years of tax review experience
  • CPA license required
  • Strong experience with individual, partnership, corporate, and S-Corp tax returns
  • Real estate tax experience required
  • Experience with private client, private equity, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held businesses preferred
  • International tax exposure required
  • Strong technical review skills and ability to support complex client needs
  • Ability to manage client relationships in a remote environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
