We are currently in search of an Interim Director of Development for a Social Justice Nonprofit. The position is Hybrid in Chicago, IL (South Side). This is a full-time, temporary position.

POSITION TITLE: Interim Director of Development
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary (ongoing)
HOURLY RATE: $45-50
Is This Your Dream Job? Reporting to the Executive Director, the Interim Director of Development will contribute to the organization’s efforts to build external relationships and impact measurement systems, both of which are central to the organization’s sustained growth. The Director of Development is responsible for the oversight, proactive planning, and successful execution of a comprehensive fundraising program, and for positioning the organization for future success, growth, and sustainability. The Director of Development plays a key leadership role in ensuring that the organization fulfills its mission, ensures a values-based organizational culture, and accomplishes its financial goals.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 5+ years of experience securing grants, specifically foundation and state grants
· Experience in Action Network, or other project management platforms
· Salesforce proficiency required
· Experience in event management
· Knowledge of the local/state/national nonprofit and advocacy stakeholders
· Skilled communicator and relationship-focused leader
· Highly personable
