We are currently in search of an Executive Assistant for a National Housing Nonprofit. The position is in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, temporary position.

POSITION TITLE: Executive Assistant
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary (~3 months)
HOURLY RATE: $29.00 - $33.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Executive Assistant will support the President and CEO, along with the Executive Vice President, and will provide high-level, comprehensive administrative and logistical support. This position will also support the functioning of the CEO's office.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 6+ years of experience supporting executive-level professionals
· Bachelor's degree required
· Experience in fair housing a plus
· Strong operational skills, including travel coordination and expense reporting
· Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage complex calendars, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Teams, Excel) required
· Familiarity in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
· Prior experience working with Project Management systems (Monday.com, Asana, etc) strongly preferred
· Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; comfortable engaging with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
· Operates with autonomy, initiative, discretion, and integrity; trusted to handle sensitive information.
· Adaptable, proactive problem‑solver with strong critical‑thinking skills and a collaborative, positive approach.
· Deep commitment to housing equity, racial justice, civil and human rights, and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
General Support for Executive Leadership
· Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings and events, and ensure executives are prepared for upcoming commitments.
· Draft and route correspondence, including emails, letters, and documents; support discrete projects as needed.
· Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, screening and directing inquiries.
· Facilitate executive meetings, track action items, and ensure timely follow‑up.
· Anticipate needs, troubleshoot issues, and proactively resolve challenges to support efficient executive operations.
· Maintain a professional office environment and support relationship‑building and special projects.
Board of Directors Support
· Schedule monthly committee meetings and quarterly board meetings.
· Provide logistical and technical support for board meetings, including in‑person events.
· Take accurate minutes for committee and board meetings.
· Negotiate contracts for venues, AV, interpretation, transportation, and other meeting needs.
· Maintain official board records, archives, and documentation.
Travel Booking, Timekeeping, & Expense Reporting
· Coordinate airfare, lodging, ground transportation, and adjust itineraries as needed.
· Monitor travel disruptions and provide timely updates and reminders.
· Track time and assist with weekly timesheet completion.
· Gather receipts, code expenses, prepare reconciliations, and submit monthly expense reports.
· Submit out‑of‑pocket reimbursements and support other administrative tasks as assigned.
