We are looking for a Development Coordinator to play an integral part in supporting our mission to assist ambitious, first-generation college students by contributing to fundraising, special events, and communications efforts. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of key responsibilities while gaining valuable experience within a growing and innovative nonprofit organization. This organization is based in New York. This is a Part- Time- Remote (20 hours a week) , Temporary opportunity. 


ORGANIZATION: Educational Services Nonprofit

LOCATION: New York (REMOTE) 

POSITION TITLE: Development Coordinator

SCHEDULE: 20 Hours a week ( start asap - Willing to work EST hours ) 

DURATION: Until end of Q1 

HOURLY RATE: -$24.00/hr

  • Passion for working with data and performing data analysis
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with additional knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings to support events and activities


How You Will Spend Your Day:


  • Gift Processing: Process and acknowledge all gifts, ensuring accurate and timely communication with donors.
  • Data Management: Own all revenue data reports, work closely with the Finance team to reconcile revenue, and ensure the integrity and cleanliness of donor and partner data in Salesforce.
  • Corporate Matching: Manage corporate matching and volunteer gift programs to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
  • Event Follow-up: Handle close-out activities for national events, including following up with donors and auction winners, ensuring that all outstanding issues are resolved.
  • Prospect Research: Conduct prospect research to identify potential new institutional funders, helping to expand our network of supporters.
  • Grant Support: Provide administrative support for grants, including pulling reports, creating attachments, and assisting with preparation for proposals.
