We are currently in search of an Interim Senior Development & Special Events Manager for a Youth Services Nonprofit. The position is on-site in Basking Ridge, NJ. This is a full-time, temporary position with potential for permanent placement.

POSITION TITLE: Interim Senior Development & Special Events Manager
SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Five days on-site preferred, with hybrid flexibility considered. Occasional evenings and weekends required for fundraising events and donor activities.
DURATION: Immediate start through January 2027, with potential for permanent placement
Hourly Rate: $32.00 to $35.00 (anticipated annual salary of: $70,000-$75,000, with flexibility up to $90,000 for a highly qualified candidate)

The Interim Senior Development & Special Events Manager will provide immediate, hands-on support to the Development Department. This individual will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and Development and Communications Coordinator to maintain fundraising momentum, execute major fundraising events, support donor and sponsor relationships, and ensure priority development activities stay on schedule.
Our Ideal Candidate:
5–7+ years of nonprofit development/fundraising experience required
· 3–5+ years of hands-on fundraising event experience required
· Strong donor relations, corporate sponsorship, solicitation, and stewardship experience
· Excellent project management skills with the ability to anticipate next steps and manage multiple priorities
· Experience with Raiser’s Edge or another donor CRM required
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
How You Will Spend Your Day:
·Lead the planning and execution of major fundraising events, including the organization's annual outing and gala.
·Manage event timelines, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, guest information, and on-site logistics.
·Support donor cultivation, solicitation, sponsorship outreach, follow-up, and stewardship.
·Assist with annual giving campaigns, year-end appeals, donor renewals, and other fundraising initiatives.
·Maintain accurate donor, sponsorship, and event information in Raiser’s Edge or another development CRM.
·Work closely with the Chief Development Officer and Development team to prioritize projects, identify outstanding needs, and keep fundraising activities on schedule.
·Provide guidance and support to staff on events, donor communications, database activities, and fundraising initiatives.
·Attend and support event setup, execution, and breakdown, including occasional evenings and weekends.
