We are currently in search of a Development Services Coordinator for a Museum located in Chicago, IL. This is a Full-Time (40 hrs./wk.), Hybrid, Temporary (~through February 2026) assignment. Of note, there is the potential that this role could become a temporary-to-permanent role.

POSITION TITLE: Development Services Coordinator
SCHEDULE: M-F, 9 AM-5 PM; Full Time (40 hrs./wk.)/ Hybrid (1-2 days remote depending on ongoing events and activities)
DURATION: Temporary (but could potentially become a temporary-to-permanent opportunity)
PAY RATE: $26-28/hr. DOE
Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Services Coordinator enters and processes information into donor databases and performs other routine administrative and clerical duties.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- An associate's degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred
- Two years of office/administrative experience, including database data entry experience
- Experience with either Raiser's Edge or Tessitura preferred (but not required)
- Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office software
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an open and team-oriented environment
- Ability to quickly take on new projects and assignments without compromising the quality of routine work while balancing long-term projects
- Ability to perform occasional light lifting
- General mobility throughout the museum
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Collect, open, and sort incoming mail donations into gift batches; charge credit cards, deliver checks to the Finance and Accounting Department; pick up membership sales forms from the museum's store, and enter batches into Raiser’s Edge and Tessitura
- Post donation information to the museum's General Ledger and troubleshoot minor reconciliations with the Finance and Accounting Department
- Monitor Visitor Experience Associate data requests and respond appropriately
- Prepare daily donation tax receipts for signature by the Director of Development
- Assist the Individual Giving Team by updating donor records and generating reports, and lists
- Maintain an organized filing system of paper copies of membership applications, sensitive materials, and payment records for gifts
- Coordinate data cleanup projects such as data table cleanup, identifying and merging duplicate constituents, and auditing address formatting
- Support the Development department at various museum-sponsored events
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Database Services
