We are currently in search of a Development Operations Temp Contractor for a Mental Health Services Nonprofit. The position is fully remote. This is a Temporary, part-time position supporting the Development Operations team through the fall and year-end giving season.

LOCATION: Remote

POSITION TITLE: Development Operations Assistant

SCHEDULE: Approximately 20 hours/month

DURATION: Temporary (through mid-January)

HOURLY RATE: $23.00 - $27.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development Operations Temp Contractor will provide essential support to a busy fundraising team during the fall and year-end giving season. This role will focus on gift entry and coding, donor database maintenance, tax acknowledgements, prospect research, reporting, and other development operations projects. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on Development Operations experience who is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in Salesforce while supporting a remote team.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:


· Hands-on experience using Salesforce within a Development or fundraising environment required

· Experience with gift entry, gift coding, donor record maintenance, and acknowledgement letters required

· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and flag potential errors or gaps required

· Ability to work independently and follow established SOPs and procedures required

· Strong understanding of donor confidentiality and ethical standards required

· Experience with Donor Search or another prospect research/wealth screening platform is a plus

· Experience with direct-response fundraising, mailing lists, or peer-to-peer fundraising platforms is a plus

· Experience with People Soft is a plus


 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

· Enter and code gifts and maintain accurate donor records in Salesforce.

· Prepare tax acknowledgements and support the production of donor acknowledgement letters.

· Maintain Salesforce records, merge duplicate records, and update opportunities and activities.

· Support portfolio hygiene for gift officers and ensure donor information remains accurate and up to date.

· Run and update existing Salesforce reports and dashboards.

· Conduct prospect research and contact information lookups using available research tools.

· Pull audience lists for direct-response fundraising and mailing campaigns.

· Review and support third-party fundraising and memorial giving activities.

· Respond to ad hoc requests from gift officers and other Development team members.

· Follow established SOPs and procedures and proactively flag potential issues before they create downstream problems.

· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to donor privacy and ethical standards when handling sensitive donor information.
