We are currently in search of a Community & Building Liaison for a Social Services Nonprofit. The position is On-site in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, permanent position.

HOURLY RATE: $21.86/hour
Is This Your Dream Job? The Community & Building Liaison will report to the Lead Community & Building Liaison and will be responsible for delivering resident and guest services while creating a community of safety, care, and inclusivity. This is an integral and collaborative member of the organization’s Residential Programs team and is ideal for a responsive, self-starter who can work independently.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 2+ years of experience working in customer service, hospitality, or a related field
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Prior experience working within a team environment while also being comfortable working alone for extended periods
· Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office Suite, and office equipment
· Familiar with de-escalation and conflict navigation techniques
· Experience with domestic and sexual violence and/or housing and homelessness services, and trauma-informed care a plus
· Bi/multi-lingual ability a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Direct Service
· Delivers superior customer service by managing the front desk, handing resident inquiries with care, providing assistance or solutions, and/or escalating questions and issues to the appropriate team member or department.
· Receives and directs incoming calls and inquiries, coordinating with appropriate departments and teams as needed.
· Ensures the safety and security of residents and the building, monitoring security cameras for activity and following visitor and check-in protocols.
· Works collaboratively with the Residential Programs and Property Management teams to resolve resident matters through a trauma-informed and customer service lens.
· Triages and follows the organization’s incident reporting and emergency procedures.
· Serves as a point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating with local authorities and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and staff.
· Coordinates, manages, and organizes front desk logs, mail and package delivery, and programs donations. Ensures proper notification and distribution to staff and residents.
· Maintains accurate, detailed, and timely documentation for individual residents, resident interactions, and incidents.
· Supports the execution of events and activities that engage residents and foster a sense of community.
Program Support
· Implements standard operating procedures as a key member of the Community & Building Liaison team.
· Supports the tracking of identified metrics for the Residential Programs team following identified processes.
· Consistently applies the organization’s model and program policies and procedures for effective service delivery.
· Understands grant requirements and helps to ensure program and service delivery balances grant requirements and the organization’s trauma-based, survivor-informed values. Helps to ensure program and service compliance with federal, state, and local confidentiality and victim services laws and regulations.
· Works in partnership with program management and program staff to support detailed recordkeeping and ensure the accuracy of files, fostering an organized and transparent system that facilitates efficient retrieval and utilization of essential information.
Internal Customer Service
· Maintains effective working relationships with all employees. Demonstrates a great degree of discretion, flexibility, and cooperation.
· Models the organization’s standard of understanding, sensitivity, and responsiveness to cultural differences in the organization’s service and employee population.
· Masters, communicates, and models the organization’s values.
