We are currently in search of a Accrediation Specilist for a Nonprofit Accreditation Agency located in Rosemont, IL. This is a Full-Time, Fully In Person, Direct-Hire opportunity.

The Accreditation Specialist conducts the activities of the organization regarding the process of accreditation of educational programs and fellowships, provides consultation and guidance to programs, fellowships, and individuals in the accreditation process, implements educational plans for internal and external constituents on the accreditation processes, and provides support for educational activities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in administrative coordination, office management, or program support
- Familiarity with the healthcare and/or education sectors is strongly preferred
- Experience working in an academic institution, nonprofit organization, or professional association is a plus
- Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing, coordinating, or delivering educational or professional development programming is highly desirable
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Provides oral and written assistance and advice to constituencies; provides accurate and appropriate information to individuals regarding the interpretation and application of accreditation Standards, accreditation status of programs, and other relevant processes, such as documenting concerns and filing complaints
- Processes and conducts reviews of accreditation applications to determine completeness and initial compliance using pre-established accreditation standards; requests additional information from education programs as necessary; prepares and disseminates correspondence regarding review of applications
- Prepares and disseminates staff analyses of accreditation materials submitted by educational programs
- Prepares and disseminates business and program materials (e.g., Program Dashboards and Workgroup Report-Out Forms) for the organization's Board meetings as assigned
- Prepares and disseminates correspondence, including accreditation decision letters, under own initiative or with limited direction from the CEO
- Reviews results of evaluations (i.e., student and faculty) to assess compliance with the Standards and identify any patient safety or ethical issues. Prepares and disseminates results to the program and the Council
- Updates and maintains accreditation program data and files in the organization's system
- Track status of all accreditation submissions; disseminates data as required; monitors status of accredited programs
- Reviews annual reports from education programs to determine completeness and assess compliance using pre-established accreditation Standards and follows up as required
- Provides consultation to support staff in arranging onsite visits to education programs; provides input in the selection of onsite reviewers and arranges schedules with reviewers and programs, and other internal and external agency representatives as necessary; reviews and ensures backup material is accurate and complete for onsite reviewers
- Manages the organization's Committees/Task Forces/Special Interest Groups as assigned, including the preparation and distribution of meeting materials for meetings, virtual meetings, serves as meeting recorder, and prepares and disseminates assignments as required
- Plans and organizes and/or assists with preparation for accreditation-related educational workshops, including Self Study, Onsite Reviewers’ training, New Program Administrators Workshop, and New Council Directors Orientation. Presents at workshops as assigned.
- Participates in the development and testing of databases in data management systems
- Reviews and provides suggestions on changes to office reports, procedures, and policy manuals, updates manuals and procedures
- Participates in major projects as assigned (USDE/CHEA recognition, technology projects, etc.)
- Attends meetings as assigned (i.e., AANA, ASPA, CHEA, USDE, etc.); Prepares and disseminates program materials as needed
- Provides information for budget preparation as requested
- Attends required training activities (e.g., staff meetings, Board Refresher Training, and training on technology). Directs and trains staff as assigned
- Ensures the confidentiality of the organization's accreditation and business operations is maintained
