We are looking for a temporary Membership Database Specialist for a Healthcare Association. This role is part-time and fully remote.

Position Title: Membership Database Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: Temporary, between 6 to 10 weeks

Schedule: Part-time; 20-30 hours/week

Pay Rate: $35-40/hour


Is This Your Dream Job? A short-term temp assignment with association AMS experience to deliver a comprehensive cleanup of our Impexium membership database. The goal is not only to stabilize renewal season, but to permanently restore data integrity so that our membership system is accurate, reliable, and sustainable.


Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in membership associations
  • Strong Database management background
  • Strong experience with association AMS platforms
  • Experience in Impexium is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in deduplication, hierarchy setup, and governance.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit membership models, including group/organizational structures.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and train staff on sustainable practices.


How You'll Spend Your Day:

  • Timeline: 3–4 weeks urgent triage, then 4–6 weeks for full cleanup and governance (total 6–10 weeks).

Deduplication & Consolidation

  • Eliminate known duplicates among active organizations (200+).
  • Consolidate large fragmented systems (Life Care Centers of America, Good Samaritan Society, universities, health systems, etc.).
  • Apply consistent naming and enforce parent/child hierarchies.

Data Purge & Standards

  • Remove invalid import records (no history, no contacts).
  • Standardize relationship types and introduce end-dates.
  • Identify and mark primary points of contact for each org.

Governance & Controls

  • Require org assignment at join/renew.
  • Implement search/selection logic to prevent duplicates.
  • Restrict org creation to admin roles.
  • Provide written standards for naming, hierarchy, and relationships.

Reporting & Segmentation

  • Deliver accurate rosters for renewals and group membership sales.
  • Ensure data can support segmentation by org, role, and status.
  • Provide before/after metrics and a backlog for ongoing monitoring.
