We are currently in search of an IT Helpdesk Assistant for a Social Services Nonprofit. This position is fully on-site in New York City. This is a full-time temporary position.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Social Services Nonprofit

LOCATION: New York City (Financial District of Manhattan)

POSITION TITLE: IT Helpdesk Assistant

SCHEDULE: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday – Fully Onsite

DURATION: Temporary (Ongoing)

HOURLY RATE: $25.00 - $28.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? As a member of the organization’s Information Technology

Department, the IT Help Desk Assistant is responsible, under the supervision of the IT

Manager, for troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining most of the day-to-day technology

issues. They are the first tier of support when it comes to the computers, printers, phones,

software, and networking components of the organization’s technology environment.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       2+ years of experience in similar IT Helpdesk function/role required

·       Working knowledge of: Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, MAC OS X, Printer Maintenance, Networking Fundamentals, Audio/Visual, etc. required

·       Strong Customer service skills preferred

·       Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

·       In conjunction with the IT Manager, form a cohesive team that responds to the technology needs of the organization.

·       Continually monitor and report on the general health and status of network components such as Servers, Desktop computers, Internet circuits, Firewalls, and Data Backups on a daily basis.

·       Administer account management for Active Directory, local applications, cloud (SaaS) applications, VoIP (telephone) extensions, Facility Access Control systems, and any other credentials-based applications.

·       Maintain adequate supplies for all desktop and network printers; troubleshoot printer problems such as paper/staple jams.

·       Maintain contact with all vendors, placing and following up on service calls as necessary.

·       Troubleshoot wireless devices, including smartphones and tablets.

·       Assist with onboarding/offboarding of staff.

·       Assist users with all aspects of their desktop computers, including the use of Windows,

·       Office applications, and all other software and devices.

·       Monitor security camera system; extract video logs as needed.

·       Keeping detailed and accurate records for review, and assists with creation of department documentation.

·       Perform all other duties as may be assigned by Director of Operations and Technology, IT Manager, Executive Director or designee.
