Calling All NYC Nonprofit Accountants (Entry-Level & Experienced)

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliation.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting regulations, including GAAP and IRS requirements.
• Assist with audits and tax filings.
• Process donations and grants, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing statements.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using industry-standard accounting software.

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• 3+ years of nonprofit accounting experience (Entry-level candidates with relevant education will be considered).
• Familiarity with nonprofit accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, ADP, Quicken, Blackbaud Financial Edge, Great Plains, or Fund Ez.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
