We are currently in search of a Development and Administrative Associate for a Recreational Nonprofit. The position is Hybrid in New York, NY (Lower Manhattan). This is a Full-time, temp position.

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Recreational Services Nonprofit

LOCATION: New York, NY (Lower Manhattan)

POSITION TITLE: Development and Administrative Associate

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 35 hours/week on-site, 9 to 5 (Tuesdays and Fridays remote)

DURATION: Temporary (2 months)

HOURLY RATE: $25.00 - $26.00

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Development and Administrative Associate plays an important role in supporting both the development and administrative operations of a busy nonprofit organization. This role will assist with donor data management, gift acknowledgments, grant support, benefit event planning, board communications, and meeting coordination, while also providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a background in nonprofit development who also enjoys event planning, communications, and administrative work.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Experience using a donor database or CRM system required

·       Comfortable processing gifts and gift processing acknowledgements required

·       Some event planning experience required

·       Experience with Canva or other Graphic Design software

·       Experience with Every Action is a plus


 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

· Provide development support through data entry, donor data management, and maintaining accurate records

· Prepare and process gift acknowledgments and donor correspondence

· Provide administrative support for grant-related activities and maintain organized grant materials

· Assist with benefit event planning, including logistics, materials, and coordination

· Provide meeting support, including scheduling, preparing materials, and coordinating follow-up

· Assist with board communications and preparation of board-related materials

· Manage office supplies and assist with general administrative needs

· Provide light graphic design support for development materials and communications

· Monitor and manage the department’s email inbox, including responding to and routing inquiries as needed
