We are currently in search of a Senior Event Planning Director for a Healthcare Association. The position is Hybrid in New York, NY. This is a full-time, temporary position.

SCHEDULE: Hybrid, Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, M & F Remote, Tues-Thurs Onsite, 8:30am to 5pm
DURATION: Temporary (6 to 8 months)
HOURLY RATE: $35.00 - $45.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Senior Event Planning Director manages multiple large events, including vendor relations, venue, budget, timeline, contracts, volunteers, and event staff. Also responsible for recruiting, managing, and motivating staff, volunteers, planning and executing logistics of fundraising events, event administration, schedules, and meetings, and preparing financial or operations reports. May manage projects, requiring review of others' work. May serve as a team lead or manage others.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 5+ years of large-scale event planning/oversight required
· Previous management/supervisory experience required
· Microsoft Office required
· CRM/Database experience required (good with data and numbers)
· Advanced Excel skills preferred
· Bachelor’s Degree is a plus
· SharePoint & PowerPoint experience is a plus
· Go-getter attitude
· Resilient and adaptable
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Plans, develops, and oversees multiple large events (e.g., fundraising events, meetings) for internal and/or external clients. Typically coaches, reviews and may delegate the work to other professionals or business services. May serve as a team lead, player/coach, or manage others. May manage projects, requiring review of others' work.
· Oversees the coordination of event invitations, advanced and on-site registration, day of event logistics, and post-event follow-up and evaluations.
· Researches available venues and recommends event sites; investigates, selects, negotiates, and coordinates services with vendors, including catering, event support, audio visual (AV), and other logistics.
· Negotiate and liaise the execution of contracts on behalf of the organization.
· Attends in-person events to manage and assist with set-up, execution, guest experience, volunteer assignment, tear down, etc.
· Prepares budgets and forecasts and compiles summaries of total event costs, cost-per-contract, audience donations, and attendees' comments.
· Demonstrate strong experience with financial systems and donor management systems, along with a deep understanding that accurate donor transactions, written commitments, revenue contracts, and timely payments are of utmost importance and a key function of this position.
· Responsible for managing risk and making sure events and activities are in compliance with laws and internal policies and procedures.
· If managerial duties are applicable, responsibilities include: recruiting, training, onboarding, supervision, and performing the actual role as needed during periods of vacancies or extended leave.
· Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope and responsibility of the job level and family.
