We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Junior Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting or Business and has experience using Sage Intacct. This is a Remote, full-time, temporary role. 

ORGANIZATION: Healthcare Nonprofit

LOCATION: Remote (DC-area preferred)

POSITION TITLE: Junior Staff Accountant

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

DURATION: Temporary 

HOURLY RATE: $28.00 - $30.00

Is This Your Dream Job? This role is responsible for accounts payable, cash receipts, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and fiscal year close activities. The Junior Staff Accountant will work closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes are followed.

 Our Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nonprofit accounting experience
• Experience working with Sage Intacct required
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense coding.
• Record and reconcile cash receipts, deposits, and donor revenue.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and fiscal year-end close activities.
