We are currently in search of a Grant Assistant for a Human Services Nonprofit. The position is in person in Bronx, NY (East Bronx). This is a part-time, temp position with a possibility to extend longer.

POSITION TITLE: Grants Assistant
SCHEDULE: Part-time, 15 -20 hours/week, In person 3 days a week, 10:00 am to 3:00pm (with flexibility)
DURATION: Temporary (with potential to extend)
HOURLY RATE: $26.00 - $28.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Grants Assistant reports to the Grants Manager and provides hands-on support with the administration and financial management of the organization's grant portfolio. This position assists with grant budgeting, financial tracking, reporting, compliance, and grant voucher processing while ensuring adherence to grant requirements, fiscal guidelines, and organizational policies. The Grants Assistant also supports audit preparation and works closely with the Finance and Grants teams to help ensure grant-funded programs are managed accurately and efficiently.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 2+ years of experience in nonprofits supporting grants administration/management is required
· Experience with accounting general ledger software ( Fund EZ, Sage 50, QuickBooks, etc.) is required
· Strong Microsoft Excel experience required
· Experience with PASSport or other grant/contract portals is a plus
· Associate’s Degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration is a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
·Support grant administration and financial tracking.
·Assist with grant budgeting and budget modifications.
·Process grant vouchers and related financial documentation.
·Work within nonprofit accounting and general ledger systems.
·Support state, city, and nonprofit audit preparation.
·Assist with grants reporting and compliance.
·Provide hands-on support to the finance and grants team.
