We are currently in search of an Operations Associate for an International Youth-Focused Nonprofit. The position is Hybrid in Washington, DC. This is a part-time, temporary position.

LOCATION: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
POSITION TITLE: Operations Associate
SCHEDULE: 20-25 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary (~6 weeks)
HOURLY RATE: $28.00 - $32.00

The Operations Associate will play a key role in supporting organizational systems and day-to-day operations, with a particular focus on technology management, staff support, and administrative functions. Working closely with the Operations team and external technology partners, the Operations Associate will help ensure staff have the tools, equipment, system access, and technical resources needed to work effectively while supporting the smooth operation of technology and office infrastructure.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Bachelor's Degree preferred
· 2+ years of executive-level administrative experience required
· International aid or global development experience preferred
· Strong attention to detail, ability to manage complex tasks, highly organized, flexible, dependable and able to prioritize competing demands
· Highly proficient in all MS Office Suite
· Excellent communication and diplomacy skills
· Strong interpersonal skills; effective at working with others over geographical distance
· Able to process information quickly
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Technology Management
· Assist in laptop fulfillment and replacement for US and Global staff, coordinate with Operations team to ensure delivery.
· Coordinate with IT firm to provide access to set up and decommission laptops.
· Respond to requests from IT firm regarding offline computers
· Respond to staff requests for different licenses and access, including Adobe, Survey Monkey, Slack, etc.
· Facilitate and order IT equipment purchases including headphones, mice, and keyboards
· Support Operations team led software and system trainings as needed
Office Management
· Ensure the GFC office space is maintained and organized and initiate steps to improve appearance, systems, organization, and smooth functioning.
· Process incoming mail, scanning and logging checks and invoices
· Ensure incoming GFC phone calls and voice mails are handled professionally
· Respond to incoming general emails and direct to correct contact as necessary
· Complete office and kitchen supply orders
· Assist with shipping and postage needs for the office
· Draft letters and correspondences, and assist in editing, formatting and finalizing reports, and summaries as requested.
· Support preparations for GFC's U.S. office relocation, including organizing files, inventory, furniture, and office equipment for the move.
· Assist with office downsizing efforts by identifying and coordinating the disposal, donation, or recycling, of materials and equipment that will not be relocated.
· Help coordinate packing and move logistics, including preparing boxes, labeling materials, and supporting an orderly transition to the new office space.
