We are looking for a temp-to-perm Administrative Assistant to support the Grants Administration team at a Healthcare non-profit. This is a full-time, hybrid role.

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid (2 days on-site)
Duration: Temp-to-perm
Pay Rate: $26-$28; $55k-65k for permanent role
Is This Your Dream Job? This role will manage the day-to-day operations of the organization's grant-making program and peer-review process. The position also works on the organization's Annual Scientific Retreat and will assist with general administration for staff.

- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience in a related field; recent grads encouraged to apply.
- Self-starter who is organized, works with a high degree of accuracy, and is attentive to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Strong communicator who thrives in a mission-driven environment.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Airtable and ProposalCentral is preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
- Passion for advancing cancer research, healthcare innovation, and making a difference.
- Experience working with grants is a plus
How You'll Spend Your Day
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization's grant program

Manage grant management systems
- Manage data entry and follow-up in ProposalCentral.
- Enter grant payments into the organization's invoice and payment system (currently, BILL or bill.com)
- Serve as the point of contact for investigators with questions about the grant program.
- Manage administrative review of grant submissions, draft internal reports, and assist with external correspondence related to grant submissions and the peer-review process.
- Monitor award activation and processing, including drafting award letters, maintaining payment schedules, tracking payments, reviewing annual financial reports, and ensuring award files are up to date.
- Assist with the organization's retreat, including speaker coordination, poster presentations, materials development, on-site activities, and follow-up.
- Support both the Communications & Patient Engagement and the Development teams with the preparation of documents and reports.
- Assist with general administration for the DC office, including equipment, supplies, and facility logistics.
- Support calendar planning and meeting logistics.
- Assist with general operations, finance, and administration.
