We are currently in search of a Senior Director, Strategic Alliances for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA). This is a Remote, Full-Time, Permanent position.

Is This Your Dream Job? The Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) is the largest global organization dedicated to the fight against ovarian and gynecologic cancers. Since 1994, OCRA has invested $140 million in scientific breakthroughs, supports more than 110,000 individuals annually, and has helped secure $3.8 billion in federal funding. The Senior Director, Strategic Alliances will serve as the lead architect for OCRA’s pharmaceutical and biotechnology partnership strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding mission-critical collaborations. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this individual will cultivate and steward high-value corporate relationships while designing innovative partnership opportunities aligned with OCRA’s research, advocacy, and patient support priorities.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 7-10+ years of progressive experience in corporate partnerships, pharmaceutical business development, strategic alliances, or nonprofit corporate fundraising
· Demonstrated success securing and growing six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships
· Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry structures, funding models, and compliance considerations
· Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific and clinical information; background in oncology or drug development strongly preferred
· Strong executive presence and relationship management skills with ability to engage senior-level corporate stakeholders
· Experience negotiating complex contracts and managing multi-year strategic alliances
· Strong proposal development, grant writing, and partnership design capabilities
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
· Willingness to travel periodically for conferences, partner meetings, and industry events
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Develop and lead OCRA’s national pharmaceutical and biotechnology partnership strategy
· Identify, cultivate, solicit, negotiate, and steward six- and seven-figure corporate partnerships
· Provide executive-level stewardship and strategic oversight for 30–40+ pharmaceutical and biotech partners
· Design innovative partnership platforms supporting research, advocacy, education, patient support, and awareness initiatives
· Lead contract negotiations in collaboration with Executive Leadership and legal advisors
· Partner with Finance to forecast revenue, manage budgets, and track partnership performance metrics
· Collaborate with internal teams across Research, Programs, Advocacy, Marketing, Finance, and Development to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities
· Monitor industry trends, therapeutic pipelines, and emerging partnership opportunities
· Serve as a visible ambassador for OCRA in industry-facing settings
