We are currently in search of an Operations Manager for a nonprofit organization focused on food access and sustainable agriculture. The position is primarily onsite at the Union Square Greenmarket in New York, NY. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

SCHEDULE: Full time – Field-based on Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat; Admin work on Thurs (Remote or In-Office)
DURATION: Permanent
SALARY: $65,000 - $70,000/year + full benefits

Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the daily operations of one of New York City's largest and most iconic farmers' markets. With a hands-on, field-based presence four days a week, this role oversees site logistics, team supervision, producer coordination, and stakeholder communication. The Operations Manager ensures the market runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with city regulations and the organization’s mission of building a just and sustainable food system. You'll lead a team of site staff, communicate with farmers and vendors, manage market layouts and scheduling, and liaise with city agencies and community members while keeping the market's vibrant, welcoming spirit alive.
More junior candidates with experience in agriculture, culinary, catering, or retail are encouraged to apply!
