We are currently in search of an Executive Assistant for a Progressive Grassroots Coalition. The position is on-site, based in Washington, DC. This is a temporary position.

A Progressive Grassroots Coalition is seeking an Executive Assistant who can keep its fast‑paced, highly reactive operation running smoothly by supporting and organizing the Chief of Staff’s day‑to‑day work, managing scheduling and priorities, and providing hands‑on support for major events like the Annual Summit. This role reports directly to the Chief of Staff, and sits within a mission‑driven, business‑casual office of about 80 staff located in downtown Washington, DC.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 3+ years of administrative experience
· Excellent organizational skills
· Detail-oriented
· Experience working in Excel
· Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Provide task-oriented administrative support to the Chief of Staff
· Schedule meetings, resolving scheduling conflicts, and navigating time and priorities with other members of the leadership team.
· Partner with the Chief of Staff to prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting scheduling conflicts; make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
· Provide on-the-ground support for the organization's annual summit, assisting the Chief of Staff with various tasks, as needed
· Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
· Collaborate effectively across departments to enhance operational efficiency and foster a culture of teamwork and excellence.
· Coordinate logistics for meetings and retreats led by the Executive Director and Chief of Staff, including planning, technical support, note-taking, and tracking action items.
· Process administrative requests, including timesheets and expenses.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
