We are currently in search of a Temporary Donor Data & Fundraising Support professional for a Family Services Nonprofit. The position is based in Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY, with the majority of the work expected to be remote after an initial meeting and briefing. This is a Full-time, temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2–3 weeks, and no more than one month.

HOURLY RATE: $25.00 - $30.00
START DATE: ASAP, ideally Wednesday, September 16 or Thursday, September 17
Is This Your Dream Job? The Temporary Donor Data & Fundraising Support professional will provide short-term research and database support to a fundraising team. The primary focus of the assignment will be researching individual donor prospects to locate accurate phone numbers and other available contact information using appropriate public and professional research tools, then accurately entering or updating that information in the fundraising database.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience with fundraising databases, donor research, and data management, particularly Salesforce. The successful candidate will be highly accurate, comfortable conducting independent online research, and able to quickly learn the organization's processes and database. A more seasoned data or research professional who can also recommend efficient tools, databases, and approaches for locating individual donor information would be especially helpful.
The assignment may also include database cleanup, data entry, donor and prospect research, exports, reports, and other short-term fundraising data projects depending on the candidate's skills and the needs of the team.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Experience working with fundraising, donor, or prospect databases required
· Salesforce experience strongly preferred
· Strong online research skills with experience locating accurate contact information for individuals
· Experience with donor research, prospect research, or fundraising data strongly preferred
· Strong understanding of data accuracy, data entry, and maintaining organized records
· Comfortable using public and professional research tools to locate and verify information
· Able to independently research information and determine the most appropriate sources to use
· Strong attention to detail, particularly when entering and updating donor information
· Comfortable working with large amounts of data and identifying missing, outdated, or inaccurate information
· Experience with database cleanup, exports, reports, or data management projects is a plus
· Able to quickly learn new databases, systems, and organizational processes
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage short-term project priorities and deadlines
· Strong written communication skills
· Comfortable working independently with limited supervision
· Resourceful and able to recommend effective tools, databases, or research methods
· A more seasoned data or research professional with the ability to advise on efficient approaches is especially welcome
· Experience supporting a nonprofit fundraising or development team is strongly preferred
· Comfortable handling confidential donor and organizational information with professionalism and discretion
How You Will Spend Your Day:
· Research individual donor and prospect information using appropriate public and professional research tools.
· Locate accurate phone numbers and other available contact information for individual donor prospects.
· Verify information across appropriate sources to ensure accuracy.
· Enter new contact information into the organization's fundraising database.
· Update existing donor and prospect records with newly researched information.
· Review database records for missing, outdated, or inconsistent information.
· Assist with database cleanup and general data entry as needed.
· Conduct donor and prospect research to support fundraising activities.
· Assist with database exports and reports as needed.
· Support other short-term fundraising data projects based on the needs of the development team.
· Recommend effective research tools, databases, or resources for locating individual donor information.
· Help the team identify efficient approaches to donor research and data management.
· Communicate with the development team regarding research findings, questions, and outstanding information.
· Keep accurate records of completed research and database updates.
· Maintain confidentiality when working with donor and prospect information.
· Work independently while keeping the team informed of progress and any challenges.
· Quickly learn the organization's database, processes, and expectations.
· Perform other short-term fundraising, development, research, and administrative duties as needed.
