POSITION: Recruiting Coordinator

LOCATION: Washington, DC

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

SCHEDULE: 8:30AM-5:00PM (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

HOURLY RATE: $23.00


 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Recruiting Coordinator is a vital part of ensuring a positive candidate experience and quick fill times for our nonprofit clients.


This role caters to individuals with minimal to no recruitment experience, who thrive in dynamic environments, set and achieve goals, and have a growth mindset.


The Recruiting Coordinator is a growth-track role aimed at training and developing the next generation of Recruiters. This role begins part-time, with a focus on candidate matching and building skills in sourcing and inviting candidates who may not be actively applying on job boards to consider our open opportunities.


As this skill is mastered, RC's are trained to screen candidates through phone screens and interviews, helping us further develop our local candidate pool and deepening their understanding of the nonprofit sector, roles we fill and how to coach candidates on interview and resume tips. Long-term, successful RC's are promoted to Recruiters, filling temporary roles with mid and entry-level professionals in fundraising, administration and accounting. Most Recruiting Coordinator are promoted to Recruiter within 1 year.


This role will begin part-time, fully on-site and convert to a full-time position, after a trial period, on a hybrid schedule.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

·       Prior office experience required (internships included)

·       Experience working in a fast-paced or production-based environment preferred

·       Nonprofit experience preferred

·       People-person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       A positive attitude, curious and receptive to feedback

·       Excellent writing skills and attention to detail

·       Accountable, responsible, and not afraid to ask questions

·       Bachelor's degree preferred

·       Basic skills in MS Office Suite required

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

·       Source candidates via Indeed Resume Bank and Loxo Source to invite them to apply to our open positions

·       Screen general talent for the local candidate pool including phone screens and formal in-person interviews

·       Make candidate recommendations to Recruiters on their open orders based on those general interviews

·       Provide administrative support to Recruiters during busy times, with candidate interview coordination, reference checks, etc

·       Process talent in the database to include proper coding, sending out job descriptions, etc

·       Assist with organizing candidate-focused events, including Open Houses as needed

·       Take on additional projects under the direction of the Managing Director
