A mission-driven higher education nonprofit is seeking a highly organized Executive Assistant to support the President and Chief of Staff in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

This is a Temporary to Permanent role. 35 hours a week, Hybrid, located in Downtown Chicago.

LOCATION: Chicago, River North

POSITION TITLE: Executive Assistant

SCHEDULE: 35 hours - Hybrid- M and F remote unless there is an in-person meeting 

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

Pay- $25/hr

This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on managing complex schedules, coordinating high-level communications, and ensuring executive operations run smoothly. The Executive Assistant will serve as a key representative of the President’s Office and must maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail. 


 Our Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience required
  • Prior experience supporting senior executives or C-level leadership required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education and/or mission-driven organizations
  • Demonstrated engagement in volunteer, nonprofit, or mission-oriented work
  • Experience supporting executives in fast-paced or highly collaborative environments


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Manage and triage the President’s inbox, routing communications appropriately and drafting responses as needed
  • Oversee the President’s calendar and structure daily scheduling priorities, including coordinating meeting logistics and resolving scheduling conflicts
  • Support the Chief of Staff with calendar management and scheduling coordination
  • Prepare daily briefs, agendas, and meeting materials to ensure the President is fully prepared for engagements and events
  • Track action items, deadlines, and executive commitments, following up with internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative and operational support to the President and Chief of Staff
  • Maintain professionalism and strong communication while representing the President’s Office internally and externally
