We are currently in search of a Sr. Bookkeeper/Fiscal Manager for an Arts, Culture, and Humanities organization located in New York City (Upper West Side). This is a Full-Time, Hybrid, Permanent position.

POSITION TITLE: Sr. Bookkeeper/Fiscal Manager

SCHEDULE: Full-Time; Hybrid (TBD)

DURATION: Permanent

HOURLY RATE: $85,000-100,000/yr. plus excellent benefits

Is This Your Dream Job? The Sr. Bookkeeper/Fiscal Manager will support all of the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of Full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting expereince in a nonprofit environment
• QuickBooks Online expereince required
• ADP or Paychex experience required
• Bill.com experience required
• Experience with Bloomerang highly preferred
• Excel skills; intermediate to advanced level preferred
• Strong technical skills/tech savvy
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of nonprofit accounting
• Able to work independently and self-manage
• Finance/accounting education at the college or community college level preferred, but strong relevant experience can substitute

How You Will Spend Your Day:

• Full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting from A–Z
• Manage general ledger through QuickBooks Online
• Accounts payable and bill payments through Bill.com
• Accounts receivable through Bloomerang, which feeds into QuickBooks
• Manage Payroll through ADP TotalSource
• Prepare journal entries
• Understand and manage P&L and balance sheet
• Assist the organization with budgeting
• Property insurance renewals and related broker coordination
• Handling some HR responsibilities through ADP TotalSource
• Oversee broader fiscal operations
• Hands-on office responsibilities as needed in a small organization
• Other projects as assigned
