We are currently in search of a for a Health Nonprofit. The position is in-person in New York, NY (Lower Manhattan). This is a full-time, temp position. 

 

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Health Nonprofit 

LOCATION: New York, NY (Lower Manhattan) 

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Generalist 

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 35 hours/week, In Person, 8:30 to 4:30 OR 9:30 to 5:30 

DURATION: Temporary (1 to 2 months) 

HOURLY RATE: $20.00 - $25.00 

 

Is This Your Dream Job? The Administration Generalist reports to the Administrative & Data Management Team Lead. As the Administrative Generalist, you will serve as a key point of contact for visitors, vendors, and staff while managing a variety of administrative and data management responsibilities. From handling office operations and processing donations to organizing confidential records and supporting event logistics, your work will help ensure the organization operates efficiently and continues making a meaningful impact in the community. 

 

Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Associate’s degree or higher, or commensurate professional experience; 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;  
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; 
  • The ability to manage/prioritize high volumes of work; 
  • Comfort working in a small, team environment; 
  • Passion for working for the betterment of others 

 

How You Will Spend Your Day: 

  • Answering & routing telephone calls placed to organization's main telephone number 
  • Serving as a first point of contact for office visitors, building management, & office vendors 
  • Receiving, sorting, & routing incoming mail pieces & courier parcels 
  • Charge of general office inventory 
  • Processing monetary donations – cash, check, & credit card weekly 
  • Ad hoc responsibilities of a similar nature, within an Administrative purview 
  • Receiving supply shipments from off-site registration events 
  • Counting, logging, & filing confidential registration forms received from off-site registration events 
  • Counting, logging & shipping buccal swab samples received from off-site registration events 
  • Opening, counting, & scanning buccal swab samples received from organization’s mail-order registrants 
  • Digitizing confidential registration forms for use by organization’s data entry company 
  • Ad hoc responsibilities of a similar nature, within a Data Management purview
