We are currently in search of a for a Administrative Assistant for a Women’s Empowerment Nonprofit. The position is In-Person in New York, NY (Upper Manhattan). This is a Part-time, temp position.

SCHEDULE: Part-time, 32 hours/week, In Person, Monday - Thursday 9 to 5 OR 9:30 to 5:30
DURATION: Temporary to Permanent
HOURLY RATE: $23.00 - $24.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Executive Director, President, staff, and volunteer leadership. This position helps ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organization by coordinating administrative tasks, managing multiple priorities, and supporting staff and leadership needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 1-2 years of administrative, office management, or coordinator experience.
· Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
· Proficiency with Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Google Workspace.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
· Professional, responsive, and service-oriented approach.
· Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, members, and vendors.
· Comfortable learning new technology and administrative systems.
· Flexible, collaborative, and willing to pitch in as needed.
· Nonprofit or volunteer organization experience is a plus.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
·Place online orders and maintain digital receipts for accounting.
·Maintain organized digital records of receipts and invoices for accounting purposes.
·Receive and distribute mail and packages; scan checks and maintain the online check register.
·Assist with basic administrative and financial recordkeeping as needed.
·Support the online calendar and create event and ticket links using Member Essentials
·Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, President, Board of Directors, and volunteer leaders.
·Prepare meeting agendas, materials, nametags, and other documents.
·Coordinate mailings, mail merges, printing, and distribution.
·Prepare and send invitations using Paperless Post
·Manage phone systems and email distribution lists
·Maintain office and event supply inventory.
·Respond to routine member inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
·Support special projects and other administrative needs as assigned.
