Here’s the Critical Role You’ll Play:

The Automation Engineer supports by designing, building, installing, and supporting new and existing automation equipment across the organization. This role is responsible for taking projects from concept through implementation, while continuously improving manufacturing processes and supporting operational reliability. The Automation Engineer works closely with corporate maintenance and plant teams to drive efficiency, safety, and innovation across diverse production environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, support, and enhance new and existing automation equipment and systems throughout their full lifecycle.
  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes and automation solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain clear technical documentation for automation equipment and processes.
  • Train and support maintenance teams within areas of technical expertise to ensure long-term equipment performance.
  • Partner with corporate maintenance leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and execute corrective actions.
  • Support maintenance and operations teams with equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis as needed.
  • Comply with and actively promote all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support operational needs and business goals.


What You May Have Done Before:

  • Completed mechanical and/or electrical design work for robotic systems, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), packaging equipment, manufacturing machinery, or similar automation systems.
  • Worked directly with PLCs, robots, vision systems, pneumatics, VFDs, and related automation technologies in a manufacturing setting.


Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in machine design, automation, and/or robotics engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Autodesk Inventor, Fusion, or comparable design software.
  • Willingness to work directly in production environments and perform hands-on, physical work when required.


Preferences:

  • Experience with general-purpose programming languages such as Python, C/C++, Rust, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools, including Docs, Slides, and Meet
