Our client, a well-established heavy equipment dealership, is expanding their electric equipment division and seeking an experienced Battery Electric Equipment Sales Specialist to help grow market share in one of the fastest growing segments of the equipment industry.

This role focuses on selling battery electric construction equipment, forklifts, and material handling equipment to customers across the construction, municipal, industrial, port, and aggregate markets.


This is a unique opportunity to join an established dealer with strong parts and service support while helping lead the transition toward electric equipment solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop New Business

Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand the company’s battery electric equipment business.

Account Management

Build and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities to expand within existing accounts.

Sales Process Management

Prepare and present equipment proposals, pricing structures, leasing options, and financing solutions.

Territory Development

Execute territory sales strategies, maintain strong call activity, and manage sales pipelines.

Lead Generation

Identify and develop new prospects across construction, municipal, industrial, and material handling markets.

Product Demonstrations

Conduct equipment demonstrations and educate customers on the benefits and capabilities of battery electric equipment.

OEM Collaboration

Work closely with the equipment manufacturer regarding product configurations, accessories, and customer feedback.

Internal Coordination

Partner with parts, service, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term success.

Documentation & CRM

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.

Travel

Travel throughout the assigned territory as required.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Equipment sales professionals comfortable developing new markets

• Experience working with contractors, municipalities, or fleet operators

• Professionals interested in emerging equipment technologies

• Sales professionals who enjoy building long-term customer relationships

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years equipment sales experience

• Experience selling construction equipment, forklifts, material handling equipment, vocational trucks, or electric equipment

• Understanding of construction, municipal, industrial, or aggregate markets

• Proven ability to develop new business and grow accounts

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Valid driver’s license

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
