In this high-impact role, you’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy—backed by strong operational support and well-maintained equipment—to keep manure handling running smoothly and on schedule.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment and brings a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and mechanical know-how to the table. You’ll be working with a leadership team that values reliability, communication, and accountability—and expects you to bring initiative, problem-solving skills, and results from day one.

  • Lead barn cleanout operations, coordinating labor, organizing equipment, and managing pile sites
  • Oversee fall spreading activities, including labor scheduling, machinery operation, and application timelines
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and contractors, collecting necessary information and ensuring timely service
  • Prepare and deliver accurate manure invoices promptly
  • Develop and manage an annual manure plan, maintaining MPCA records and applicator licenses
  • Ensure full environmental compliance in all manure operations
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance for all manure-handling equipment, including DOT inspections
  • Collaborate with the shop team to ensure timely repairs and upkeep
  • Assist with moving birds, deliveries, and special farm improvement projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of relevant agricultural or operational experience, or an Associate’s degree
  • Strong communication skills; Spanish language ability is a plus
  • Willingness to learn to operate and drive a semi-trailer truck
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and organizational skills
